What is First Aid?
First aid is the first and immediate assistance rendered to someone suffering from a minor or serious illness or injury until full medical treatment is available. For minor conditions, first aid care may be sufficient. But for more serious conditions, first aid should continue until professional medical help is available.
The role of a first aider is to provide help to someone who is injured or ill, to keep them safe and to cause no further harm. Having a first aid kit with you at home, workplace, school, in the car or even while you are traveling overseas is essential in order to stay prepared.
Be Prepared. Have it before the need arises.
